Ok have you just created a storm charaacter and were wondering what spells you were going to get and what spells you should invest your training points in? Well in this guide I explain to you what level you get each of your storm spells, and in my opinion what order and where you should invest your valuable trading points.
Now I did the math and this is the exact number of training points you will get if you do all the quests from Wizard City to Wintertusk. (Includes Wysteria) So the total number of training points we recieve now as wizards is 26. Yes over the course of your Wizard career you will recieve a total of 26 training points if you do every quest that gives you a training point and level up to 60.
Next here's a list of what storm spells you will learn, and what level you will get them(If I use an X it means what ever level you are when you get the spell):
Level 1: Thunder Snake 105-145 damage Level 2: Lightning Strike +10% STORM accuracy Level 5: Lightning Bats 245-285 damage Level 7: Storm Prism Convert STORM damage to MYTH damage Level 8: Thermic Shield -70% ICE and FIRE damage Level 10: Storm Shark 375-475 Level 10: Storm Shield -80% STORM damage Level 12: Storm Blade +30% STORM damage Level 16 Storm Trap +25% STORM damage Level 18: Water Elemental Summon a Minion of Storm Level 22: Kraken 520-580 damage Level 22: Dissipate Dispel next outgoing STORM spell Level X: Disarm Remove 1 positive Charm - End of Wizard City Level X: Sooth Reduce threat on target - Mort in Nightside Level X: Cleanse Remove 1 negative charm from self - End of Krokotopia Level 25: Sap Power Sacrifise Minion for 4 pips Level 26: Windstorm +20% STORM trap to all enemies Level 28: Tempest 80 STORM damage per pip to enemies Level 33: Dark Wind +25% to all STORM spells Level X: Wild Bolt 10, 100, OR 1000 damage - End of Marleybone Level 35: Supercharge +10% per pip next outgoing STORM Spell - self use only Level 38: Triton 795-875 damage Level 42: Stormzilla 650-730 damage Level 48: Storm Lord 690 STORM damage and STUN to all enemies Level 52: Insane Bolt 1000 damage to enemy or 10000 to yourself Level 58: Leviathan 1030 damage and remove 2 positive charms
Ok now that we covered all the spells that recieve for Storm we can start talking about in my OPINION what spells you should train in.(BTW if I missed any Storm spells please notify me.)
OK so we have 26 Training points, and that's a lot of Spells you can learn. These are the spells that I would Train and in what order.
First; Ice up to Tower Shield: Level 16: Tower Shield - 5 Training Points -50% to next damage or draining spell
Next; Life up to Sprite - 4 training Points Level 10: Sprite 30 + 270 healing over 3 rounds
Whenever; Elemental Traps + Elemental Blades - 2 Training Points Level 25 for Blades and Traps Level 15 Blades: +35% to next Storm, Fire, and Ice damage spell Traps: +25% to next Storm, Fire, and Ice damage spell
Then; Death to Feint - 7 Training Points Level 26: Feint +70% to next damage spell and +30% to next damage spell to yourself
Next; Life up to Satyr - 3 Training Points Level 26: Satyr 860 healing to yourself or a friend
So far we used a total of 21 Training Points. Now we still have 5 Training Points remaining. Now if you follow this plan you will have a shield for every school, so if you decide to pvp you will not have to worry about buying shields unless you want them to have the higher percents. Basically you have everything that you could possibly need, so the last 5 training points are yours to spend on whatever you feel like that you need.
Thank you for reading my guide, and if you fellow wizards liked this tell me and I may decide to make another guide for a different school.
Do you have some smoothe deal going on with Zeke? Cause everyone else in the game can only get 26 training points by legendary. Also, death to feint is 7 training points, and insane bolt does 1,000 to the enemy or 10,000 to self- the damage you posted is for the treasure card or amulet version. With my storm, though, i didn't bother with elemental trap; seems a waste of a pip for only 25% extra that can't be used with multi attacks effectively. I also only got life to sprite, and trained polymorph treant at level 55. Unless you have a life mastery amulet, a storm mage can't afford a 4 pip setback for satyr. That's just my view, though. -gabriel darkthorn, grandmaster diviner (and crew)
