Simple Question

I have a question on how piercing blades (infallible as well) work. How do they exactly work? Do they work as:

10% Pierce Blade pierces through all shields
50%-10%=40%
70%-10%=60%
29%-10%=19%

Or do they work as single pierce such as:
50%-10%=40%
70%
29%

I've been thinking about this, just a bit confused lol.
Hope its not confusing, tried to put it in a simplified way. :)
