Question about castle elixar

Just used a (additional space) castle elixar I got from my
fantasy pack with castle.
Though something i dont understand.

When I started I had 250 & 250 possible items inside and out.
Used it and it says the same.
What exactly does it do ??
I thought it gave you more room inside and out to put more stuff,
But from what I saw its not working....

Any ideas.

It lets you own an extra house. Currently the limit is 3, and using this elixir lets you now own 4 houses on that character.

It does not increase the number of items you can place in your houses, just the number of houses that character can own.

AH, so that statement of ADDITIONAL SPACE elixar should be
ADDITIONAL HOUSE elixar ??
Which in retrospec works out to be the same.....

Guess I mis understood what the elixar was intended for.
Oh well, burned that elixar for no reason..
