i wanted to know if you have a legendary wizard and start a new one, would you have to pay to unlock the areas that have been opened by your other wizard?

If you purchased a Membership, you can access the areas as you progress for the duration of your Membership.

If you purchased individual areas with Crowns, you can access those areas on ALL your characters forever.

Your new character must still earn their own entry to those areas by completing the quests required.

The areas that you paid Crowns to unlock are good for all six wizard slots on that account-name, regardless of how many times any slot's wizard gets deleted and re-created.
