dyed pets

I was wondering if there is a reason why i am unable to dye any of my pets. Is it because they were dropped pets not purchased?

Some pets like the Rat Magician, the Pixies, and the Ninja Pigs don't like to change their outfits, so they cannot be dyed.

It's not just drop pets either, some store bought pets are attached to their look and cannot be dyed.

I myself would not think kindly of green feathers....

I was trying to dye my fire or my storm salamander because they are both orange and neither one will let me dye.
