A simple flip through the Player Guide, young Wizard, would have revealed the answer.
Grouping Grouping helps players stay together when battling or travelling to a new area. When you join a battle, there will be spots reserved for your other group members if they are travelling with you in the same area. They will be asked if they want to join your combat. If so, they will be teleported to your battle. A reserved spot that you see in the world may be for someone in your group or for a different group.
To invite someone to join your group, click on them and this will open your Friends Panel. There you will see the option to Invite to Group.
Now that you're in a group, you will see a new Group section to your Friends List. You can leave a Group at any time by clicking the Leave Group option on the Group section of the Friends panel.
Groups can chat on a Group Chat channel that no one outside the group can see. This text will be show in blue in your Chat Window.
Hello everyone still learning the ropes . Is there a chat I can talk in the a group of people will see to get help with tougher bosses and such ?
If you are referring to a chat channel (like levels 1-10, Krokotopia chat or storm school channel), no there isn't. A group chat channel posted by the professor above, is the only chat channel. To get help for bosses, either post here on the Wizard 101 forums or post in the many Wizard 101 fan sites.

the easiest way is to ask people in the commons. to do that, you need to either use the bubble talk or, if you have text chat enabled, you just hit enter, type in 'can someone please help me with so and so' and hit enter again, then a bubble that nearby people can read will appear above your character's head saying what you wrote. or did i totally miss what you are asking? -elijah darkthorn, legendary conjurer
