Third Generation Pets

Has anyone tried mixing two hatched pets together? For example has anyone tried mixing a tempest hound and a lifezilla? If so what was the outcome? I would like to know if it would give one of the original pets or a new pet altogether.

Don't think there are new third generation appearances. But that would be awesome wouldnt it?
