When you use a pair of eggs to hatch a new one in the Hatchry, do you loose the 2 old eggs, to make the new one?

Another quick question..

Has anyone paired up a Dragon with another egg? And what did you get?
What would be a good pairing with a dragon?

I would like to have something flying that doesn't involve a pig.
