Quest experience for pets

Which pets gain experience when you complete quests? The one currenty equipped? All in your backpack? Secret answer 3?

Would I then be able to trade my favorite pet between different wizards to gain experience from all of their quests and level it up faster?

From my experience in game I would say that they dont gain xp from quests. You have to do the minigames in the Pet Pavillion to gain xp for your pets. I hope that answered your question. :D
