I actually like Wysteria a lot and wish they'd continue the story. You're right; it's a nice break from whatever world you're in at the time. And I really wish they'd offer the secret apartment (aka house) as a purchasable option. It's in Tanglewood Way and can take you to the area where Lord Bramble is.
The storyline is kind of a mess, but it's not supposed to be an organized school so that is one way to forgive it. I think it was well thought out design-wise, but the story does need a bit of work. Perhaps IF they ever continue it...
