I think it would be cool if their was a house that was the "b.o.x.."
It could either work like the old town apartment where you can just go into and out of the box in marleybone whenever you like. Or it could come with its own patch of land to float on out in space somewhere like an actual house but the only thing there would be the box and whatever you decide to put on the surrounding land.
It would function similarly to the genie lamp in the nomad camp so all the doors that usually lead to quest locations could just go to the other rooms.
It would be a good excuse to make a bunch of new steampunk styled items.
