Life Pedestals and Unicorns oh My :)

Has anyone every been able to put the unicorn of the life pedestal. Or any pedestal other than the thin ones sold in dragonsypre.

I have tried ornate, stone, regular, life. No go. Is this still a bug and are the master of wizardly creation find a spell to fix this bug thanks
