What's with the swimming pool?

Something I don't understand is why I can't swim in my own swimming pool at my myth house, but I can get into most all other water. Is there a reason for this? Just curious...

and the death house, but you wouldn't want to swim in that pool anyway ;p

You can't actually swim in W101. It would be cool if you could buy a swimsuit and actually swim though.
