I am new to the game, I started last weekend, however my Myth Wizard is up to level 30. Please correct me if I am wrong, but the way I read it, the % rate on each card represents the chance the spell cast will succeed.
Most of my spells have a % of 70-80% to be cast, yet they fizzle at least every couple of attempts. The perfect example is my level 30 Stun spell. It is 70%, yet during fights(PvE or PvP) I can use all 4 stuns in my deck and usually get at least 2 if not 3 fizzles.
I know it is a small sample size, but all morning while playing I took note of the Stuns in particular.
Stuns Cast: 232 Stuns Fizzled: 111 That is 48%
I am not trying to be critical of the game or anyone, but would really love to know what I am missing or can do to reduce this fizzle count.
either buy gears that increase your accuracy rate example my full commander pvp gear gives me 16% accuracy to all class spells.. so most spells i have are 80-85 thus its at least 95-101% accuracy of casting. =)

Your fizzle rate is not calculated by one series of the same card. It is calculated by all spells cast over the length of the battle. That's why your 70% cards are more likely to fail than others, it is your dip on the line graph. Remember, each of your "no fizzle" cards (like the pixie heal card) count towards your overall count. Naturally, the lower percentage will fail, but most lower percentage cards are rewarded with better actions if successful.

Not every card counts towards your total. This is in incorrect statement. Each card is independent of each other and has its own precentage. Understanding this, If you are measuring accuracy, you need to measure each card or a group cards with the exact same percentages. If you incorportate different levels of accuracy, you must account for other variables as well use a statisitcal algorithym and representation which accounts for the perentage differences.
I have done specific research which show a very large representation on fizzle statistics and considers various variables while accounting for different conditions. These have been previously posted and using my wizard only as a reference, my numbers confirmed statistical anomolies within the percentages. Even though the percentage represents the each time the card is cast, the overall numbers of same percentage cards simply didn't add up for me. What concerns me is the sheer number of people experiencing the same problems. As a quick example from last night, my life character's accuracy representation last night was 81% and it should be 90%. Its not a large discresion, but it furthers the issue and as my other data suggests, shows a misprepresentation of accuracy.

First of all, welcome fellow wizard to our world lol, my wife and I have been playing for almost a year now and yes the percentage of accuracy on a spell is the percentage chance that that spell will succeed. Not the number of times that spell will hit when used.

Okay, here the percentage is accurate HOWEVER, it is not based on what the spell was. Let me explain. The spells accuracy is the chance that that spell will hit and not miss. The higher the accuracy of course the more accurate and more possible that the spell will hit. Now, what you have given is the percentage of TIMES that your spell hit and NOT the spells accuracy. Being correct in your calculations but comparing apples with oranges. The times a spell fizzles has nothing to do with the spells accuracy. The spells accuracy is simply and foremost ONLY the percentage that that spell will actually hit. The amount of times that spell ACTUALLY hits has nothing to do with its accuracy, which is what you have figured above.

To reduce the chance of fizzles, get clothing with accuracy enhancements. These can be purchased at the Bazaar, Shopping Area or Farmed for. Farming, if you have not been told yet, is battling a boss over and over till you get the drop you want. Most of the clothing items and a description can be found on sister sites, look under Wizard Society, Fansites and Links, along with where to go to find the bosses who drop the items you want. The higher you go in the game, level wise, and the better the equipment that you have, the less you will fizzle and better your chances of hits. Good luck and happy hunting.
