reading into the past

i am stuck on the quest "reading into the past" because when i go where the arrow points me, it leads me to a boss area that i cant enter.....help?

You have to wait untill you have the quest to fight that boss. Then you get the book. Its the same with the cats.

actually you can skip this quest cause finishing this wont take you to mooshu
