Ok, you REALLY gotta listen to the dialogue. There are enslaved manders that are cursed and work as slaves to fight. But they are either turned bad or just forced to work for the kroks. But there are also just some evil ones in general. Then there are the good manders that are trying to free the mander race. That is basically the whole deal you are fixing in krok. To free the manders from the kroks. But also the whole krokonomicon thing (but thats a whole different story). So ya. But if you want to understand the theme of the problems going on in a specific world, listen to what they are saying.
