i lost my story line my friend played & messed up

hmm i don't think you can do anything but remake the character and never ever trust others with your account

Well, if you have no current quests, but you know what world you're in and may know what quest you MAY have been on, I suggest going to your quests and clicking the button that reads "Find Quests Near You." Your buddy may have not picked up the last main quest you had and just left without it. Hope I could help! :)
