Biti Nirini is tough. He casts spells in five different schools, making specific shields fairly useless. He and his minion both cast damage over time spells, making Tower shields useless, too.
If you're Fire school, be sure to use Fire Prisms, as he has a high resistance to Fire spells.
Your first priority is to get rid of the Nirini Sentry. Blade yourself and cast your Level 3 spell at it to get rid of it. Then concentrate on the Boss.
