This was a problem over 10 years ago that is somehow affecting me right now. I sat there and let the patcher try to download it for nearly four hours and nothing changed it was still stuck. I even tried deleting root.wad directly from the game files (a solution that helped others.) I am going to attempt to put the entire kingsisle folder into my external drive then put it back(which should fix it idk)
I'm going to post this in the event that doesn't work. I have tried a couple other solutions on top of that one. Normally i would have just reinstalled by now, however please realize that my internet speed tops at 70kb an half the time it's less than 30kbps. NOT EVEN A MB per second. Please help me try and find a solution that doesn't resort to having to sit and download game for 2-4 days straight.
