Quest for the truth quest

I go and try to use the wooden skeleton key for the quest but it keeps popping up that I need one but it seems like I don’t have one. What’s going on?

i'm having the same kind of problem, with my life wizard, who's currently level 55, picked the quest up after the update went through on my client, and i know i did talk to the monkey at the library.
