The pygmy grey whale does this weird zoom in glitch that stays stuck in the zoom position when transfering to high ground. I've only noticed it happening right when moving to the high ground because this is when you are automatically zoomed in until the camera resets. However, the camera does not reset and it stays zoomed in and I am not able to scroll out so I am then forced unequip and then equip the mount. It's a bit annoying because it blocks a large portion of the screen making it very hard to ignore when happening. I'm guessing this occurs because of the mounts large body and high placement. Just thought I'd mention this since It's a bit annoying.
