Minotaur Pet for Myth, Huge disapointment!

OK, for starters i'd like to say i love my Myth mage, i've had a great experience playing him. I'm currently level 45 in dragonspire and working my way toward Malistaire.

However, (we knew this part was comming) i'm somewhat irked by our level 38 Minotaur summon. Every pet we've gotten since troll has been an X pip per strength of summon spell. The pets Troll and Cyclops are fantastic, they perform above average for a minion and really hammer home what Myth mages are all about. Then we get to level 38, our final summon, the mighty MINOTAUR!!!

And hes a 3 pip defensive pet only who never attacks and never casts anything even remotely helpful. A complete waste of a spell....so much so that its pretty much an exact duplicate of the first storm minion. But wait i say, arnt we suppose to be Conjurers? Arnt powerful minions suppose to be our ace in the hole? Why is our strongest pet not acting like a stronger more capable version of Troll or Cyclops? Whos sick joke of an idea was this?

If that wasnt bad enough most classes also have viable minions that can be just as helpful as cyclops. The balance pet is rather good and casts locust swarm, the balance equivalent of cyclops. The fire pet is good, even the death pets can cast 3 pip spells.

So basically my question is this.....WHY O WHY!?!?! is minotaur such fail? No one uses him, cyclops out performs him in every way. Please tell me he's being reworked into the minion he should have been from the get-go. It makes no sense at all to have a conjuring class that summons minions that are only marginably better than opposing high damage classes minions.

If anyone has any insight as to what the reasoning could possibly be i'm all ears. Thanks!

The minotaur does cast attacks but its rare and while he is a defensive pet, he's your "ace in the hole" for soloing. He's the big tough one that basically grabs the aggro then shields himself so you can dish out the pain without worry of being attacked. Personally i have 1 golem, giant. and 1 minotaur(sometimes two of either the minotaur or golem based on the situation). He'll also shield you sometimes, but mainly he'll just taunt then enemy and try to stay alive. Heck sometimes i'll put shields on him when he's grabbed the aggro. So to me he's a big help and minion made to cover the other spectrum of battle, "Defense".

And while he is the last minion we get look at his cost its 3 pips the cyclops costs 1-4. And with four being higher than three you get a pretty tough minion for 1 less pip. Your main offense minion will always be your giant or for lower levels troll. And in a sense this is similar to the earthquake spell, whiles its a higher level card its actually weaker than humongofrog yet it destroys all blades, traps, shields, etc on the enemies side which is the trade off.
