I have had my account for about 8 years now, and I wanted to know how to enable open chat. I am over the age of 18, but my account will not show me the option of enabling open chat. Is there anything I can do to enable it?

If your account was created when you were around 10-13, then no. Only a parent would have the option at the time of set up to enable it and then disable it with the use of a master password. If said parent did set up your account and your birth date was entered correctly, there is no way to change it and KI does not track that kind of information about players.
