Free crowns? How?

I woke up this morning to find the announcement but I have a problem. I went to the fountain and clicked but received no free crowns. I went to Zeke after but he didnt have any more info. After you get the message on teh fountain what are you supposed to do?

open your book and look at the crown section, there should be 101 there. crown section is in character page/

Idk. Although all i had to do was look at the statue then go to Zeke in Olde Town.
