I would imagine they have been retired permanently. Having used similar methods on other sites to earn rewards, it's a ridiculously easy way to earn crowns that would theoretically only cost you your internet fees, and does not require any effort on the user's part(aside from setting up a bot which is the easy part), unlike Trivia rewards.
On that note, I do wish there wasn't a cap on the amount of rewards you can get for doing trivia each day. It's already a tedious enough task as is, adding just a little bit more incentive by allowing you to get more crowns a day wouldn't hurt.
