There's no real rush, you don't need access to Wintertusk for about 6 levels anyway.

Well it doesn't really matter when you want to do it, but I recommend to do it not to long later because the level 55 spell for most schools require access to Wintertusk. Anyway, I think now is a good time to try.

If you do the side dungeons first, you can fight Jotun without his brothers. That makes it much easier. Wintertusk is great, so ya, it's worth it.
