What is the purpose of a regular beastmoon idol?

I have many beastmoon idols from plant rewards but they are not gold. Therefore, I cannot use them to unlock beast forms. So what is the point of the beastmoon idols that I am getting from my beastmoon plants if I can't use them? Or can I? What is there purpose? Any and all help is welcome! Thanks!
