I finished Empyrea part 1 two days ago! My first time ever becoming a max wizard
So after the fight with Medulla, we had a chance to rescue Melorri, but the bat hurt her? Why? Was he on spider's side all along? Or was he trying to "kill" Mellori so Spider wouldn't use her? Sparck, care to answer?
Mellori is the only person capable of breaking the chains holding Empyrea tethered, and Empyrea is the only thing in the way of Grandfather Spider's Heart. So basically, yes, it was so Spider wouldn't be able to use her.
However it seems like Mellori is in some type of limbo instead, which still leaves the question of what The Batdid to her and how this is supposed to stop Spider from using her.
