I'm stuck in dragonspyre. I have read multiple articles and i go try to talk these people but they arent giving quests. i cant get the gate to necropolis open or anything!! i need to beat dragonspyre so i can get to celestia. please help me.

If you are trying to go to The Necropolis for the first time (open the portal), you are probably working on the quest "Portal Decay". This link shows details on that quest:
If you click on the "Quest Dialogue" tab, it will show you that Lazlo Starblade in The Plaza of Conquests said to "proceed up the road to The Necropolis". Go back to Lazlo Starblade, and your quest helper should point you toward the doors that open access to The Necropolis for you for your first visit. I have found the needed quest. It was in my book, but i kept overlooking it because it was a book. i have now beat Dragonspyre. Thank you all for your help.
