I can't read the history book by the Lavaling

I've completed the dungeon and fought Malistaire several times and even backtracked to the lavalings, but am still unable to read the last history book. What am I missing?

Check to see if it is still in your quest book. If it is, than you may have a bug. If not, you may have received it before and have forgotten that you did.
