You have a far bit of quests ahead of you, but you are about 2/3's done. You need to collect crystals then collect some things for the crystal cutter to complete your staff. Once you do that you need to collect stuff to hatch a dragon and then to create armor for him. After those you will be able to access the final quest for Malistaire.
