If you trashed it just recently, try sending an e-mail to Help and Support (support@wizard101.com). Explain the problem to them. Give them your user name, and character name, and name of the item (wand). Maybe they can help you get it back? They're really nice and helpful if you just ask nicely. :D
It's possible to sell the Dragon Rider Staff, although I haven't seen it in the Bazaar. It might also be in your bank or shared bank. I don't believe another can be made.
You don't need the staff to ride your Drake in the future.
